Studio Rlon

Studio rlon was founded in 2016 by Philipp Eibach, Josua Putzke, Nehemia Turban. They are fascinated by design’s ability to inspire new ways of thinking, by suggesting new models and interactions, wherever it seems necessary to replace existing models. Their focus is on developing objects and narratives for curious spaces.

The objects they create invite you to see the beauty in seemingly trivial everyday situations. They are reduced to their functional essence, whilst at the same time celebrating the details of their handling. The narratives they create convey thoughts put in a new context. By diversifying perspectives and putting things out of the habitual way of interpretation, they aim to find intuitive possibilities for understanding complex coherences. The starting point for these explorations may be a phenomenon, an observation, an emotion or a commission for a certain situation. Their practice is an effort to unifying science’s quest to understand how things work with the art’s endeavour to communicate how things feel. Combining playful curiosity with seasoned practices, they unite the courage of naivety with purposeful professionalism.
