Martina Taranto
Martina Taranto is a designer, artist, and researcher born in 1989 in Sicily, Italy, and Master graduate from the Royal College of Art (London) in 2019. Her work and research is focused on material investigation and future narratives, which aim to build a fluid dialogue among different branches of knowledge, human challenges and environmental causes through holistic practices of design. Her practice combines critical design methods with fascinations and magical elements to generate behavioural and ethical reactions on a visceral level of human consciousness.
Martina’s work, featured on renown magazines like Domus, Interni, AD, Dezeen, has been exhibited internationally (Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Tunisia, United Kingdom, Canada, Qatar, China) through independent galleries and Culture Institutes. For her work Martina is recipient of a Rado Star-Prize UK 2018, Dezeen Award Longlisted in 2020, Arte Laguna Prize Finalist.
